Focus

Pomodoro

• Focus lasts 25 minutes.
• A short break lasts 5 minutes.
• Every third focus is followed by a 15 minute long break.

Under Automatic start you can turn on Auto-start break after focus and Auto-start next Pomodoro after break. Both are off by default. Reset cycle is available while the timer is idle.

Deepwork

Deepwork is one long block with no breaks. The default is 120 minutes. Set Duration (minutes) between 30 and 240 before you start.

Task and sound

Pick a task from the Task menu (your open Inbox and Kanban tasks), or choose No task. You can also choose Start focus on an Inbox task. The task is locked while the timer runs.

The Sound menu has Silent, 3 free sounds (Mechanical clock, Gentle rain, Fireplace) and 12 Pro sounds. On Personal, a Pro sound plays as Mechanical clock.

What happens when you finish or stop

• The time left shows in the browser tab title.
• When the timer ends, a chime plays and the session is saved as completed.
• If you press Stop, or close the window with Esc, the timer stops and the session is saved as stopped with the time so far.
• Completed focus sessions count toward some badges.
