How we build the product

Our commitment

PlanCub is built and run independently.

There is no board asking for 300% growth by Monday. There are a founder, our users, a lot of code and one goal: a tool that gets steadier, simpler and more useful over time.

Built to last

We will not disappear with your data

PlanCub is not meant to run for a few months and then quietly vanish.

You spend time writing down your goals, plans and work. We treat that data seriously, protect it, and keep access as stable as we can.

Stability first

Do what exists well before adding more

One feature that works reliably is worth more than three new ones that work on a whim. We put bug fixes, speed, data safety and the current experience ahead of expansion.

New features still come, but not on top of an unstable base.

Simpler over time

The bigger it gets, the easier it should feel

The goal is not the most features. Every change should help you understand faster, do less, see your work clearly and come back more easily.

A powerful feature does not have to look complicated. The hard part belongs behind the scenes.

Guided by real needs

Users help set the direction

We build from real problems, feedback and community interest. You can suggest features, comment and vote; ideas with more votes get looked at first.

Votes matter, but they are not the only factor. We also weigh feasibility, safety and the effect on the whole product’s simplicity and stability.

Self-funded

Growing on personal resources and revenue

PlanCub does not plan to raise money from outside investors. Running costs come from the founder’s own resources and the revenue the product earns.

Revenue goes to keeping the system running, protecting data, fixing bugs, improving the experience and building what is truly needed. That may mean slower growth. In return we keep control of the decisions that matter:

  • No growth at any cost.
  • No change of direction because of investor pressure.
  • No turning users into numbers in a fundraising deck.
  • Long-term user benefit can come before short-term financial goals.

PlanCub does not promise to become the biggest system.

The realistic promise is to be a stable, simple, dependable and useful tool for the people who choose it.

These are not slogans written once and forgotten in a footer. They are the principles we use to judge future decisions about PlanCub.
